Getting there

By Taxi:
Journey time from central London 45-60 minutes. Taxis can drop off on the forecourt of all terminals. Fare is approx £35-45 from Central London.

By Car:
Heathrow is west of London on the M4 motorway near the M25 interchange. All Terminals and appropriate motorway exits are signposted.

Leaving at Terminal 1?

Terminal 1 was formally opened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in May 1969, but began operating in 1968.

Today 13 airlines operate from Terminal 1, catering to 25 million passengers.
